| B | 61 to 80 | 7,45,152 | 54.60% |

Marks are not added into an aggregate; grades are given subject by subject, and a minimum of 33 per cent in each subject is needed (Indian Express).
Pass percentage trend
| Year | Pass percentage | Detail | Result date |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 97.75% | 13,68,947 registered; 30,640 supplementary | 24 March |
| 2025 | 97.47% | 13,30,190 appeared, 12,96,495 passed; 2,145 withheld | 30 May |
| 2024 | 97.06% | 14,35,696 appeared, 13,93,423 passed; 9,538 withheld | 30 May |
| 2023 | 97.30% | Reported by NDTV India and Hindustan Times | 1 or 2 June |
Sources: Hindustan Times (2025), Times of India (2024), NDTV India and Hindustan Times (2023). The Times of India 2024 article also printed 97.60 per cent for 2024, but that does not fit its own student counts, so we use 97.06 per cent.
Boys, girls and school type
| Year | Boys | Girls | Gap (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 97.59% | 97.94% | 0.35 points |
| 2025 | 97.29% | 97.66% | 0.37 points |
| 2024 | 96.89% | 97.23% | 0.34 points |
Girls led in all three years, and the gap stayed near a third of a percentage point. The 2026 release lists 7,14,612 government and 6,49,964 private school students, but no pass rate by school type. In 2024 Times of India reported 96.79 per cent for government and 97.40 per cent for private schools.
Supplementary and withheld results
Supplementary. 30,640 students (2.24 per cent) had an E grade. Amar Ujala says their exam would be held in July 2026, and a third-party guide gives 20 to 25 July. The 5th and 8th module has a separate supplementary result link, which we found but could not open.
Withheld. 4,371 results (0.31 per cent) were withheld pending procedural clearance. If the form shows nothing for your child, ask the school to check the application data with the board.
Why the Class 5 exam looks different from a board exam
The portal calls it “Primary Education Learning Level Assessment (Class 5) Exam 2026”. It is run through Shala Darpan, and in 2024 Times of India said it was held across 33 district DIETs. There is no merit list, no topper and no percentage on the scorecard: it is a grade report. That is why parents searching for “5th board topper” find nothing official.
What next after Class 5
Keep the provisional scorecard and ask the school for the original marksheet. If your child has an E grade, ask the school for the supplementary details and the last date; the school receives the circulars first. For Class 8 read RBSE 8th class result 2026, and for the full map of results read RBSE Rajasthan board result 2026.
Class 5 result dates by year
| Year | Exam dates | Result date | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 20 February to 5 or 6 March (sources differ) | 24 March 2026 | Same day as Class 8 |
| 2025 | Not confirmed | 30 May 2025 | Class 8 came on 26 May |
| 2024 | 28 March to 4 April | 30 May 2024 | Same day as Class 8 |
| 2023 | Not confirmed | 1 or 2 June 2023 (sources differ) | Class 8 came on 17 May |
The 2026 result came about two months earlier than in 2025, because the exam itself moved to February and March. For a forecast of the next date read RBSE 8th ka result kab aayega, which covers the shared 5th and 8th schedule.
What the Class 5 scorecard contains
The Indian Express describes the online result as a provisional scorecard with the name, roll number, subject-wise marks, grade and pass status. The original marksheet is issued through the school. Treat the online copy as a working document: good enough to confirm the result, but the school may ask for the original when the child moves to Class 6.
| Part | What to check |
|---|---|
| Name and roll number | Check both against the admit card |
| Subject-wise marks and grade | A to E per subject |
| Pass or supplementary | E grade in any subject means the supplementary category |
| Original marksheet | Handed out by the school later |
What the grade shares tell you
In 2026, 90.47 per cent of Class 5 students with a result were in the A or B grade (35.87 plus 54.60, our arithmetic). In Class 8 the same figure was 75.45 per cent (20.41 plus 55.04). The Class 5 paper is a learning-level check, so the high share of top grades does not mean the Class 5 exam is easier than a board exam; it is a different kind of exam with a different purpose.
Our caution: the grade counts come from one release summary, and we have not seen the board or department paper to confirm the marking scheme. Use the figures for context, not to compare schools.

A checklist for parents
- Open only the official portal link, and do not install apps that ask for the child’s details.
- Save the scorecard as a PDF and print one copy.
- Compare the name and subjects with the school records.
- If an E grade appears, note the school’s supplementary form deadline.
- If the result is withheld, ask the school how the application was submitted and whether the board has queried it.
- Do not pay anyone to “fix” a result.
Class 5 and Class 8 in 2026, side by side
| 2026 measure | Class 5 | Class 8 |
|---|---|---|
| Registered | 13,68,947 | 12,86,220 |
| Results declared | 13,64,576 | 12,84,011 |
| Withheld | 4,371 (0.31%) | 2,209 (0.17%) |
| Passed | 13,33,936 (97.75%) | 12,45,735 (97.01%) |
| Supplementary | 30,640 (2.24%) | 38,276 (2.98%) |

| Government / private students | 7,14,612 / 6,49,964 | 7,07,401 / 5,76,610 |
Class 5 had about 82,700 more registered students than Class 8 (our arithmetic), a lower supplementary share and a smaller gender gap. Both results were declared the same day, so a family with two children can check both from the same module: Class 8 is explained in RBSE 8th class result 2026.
