Quick answer
2026: 24 March 2026, about 1:00 PM. The result is live on Shala Darpan. For 2027 there is no announced date. See below for how we read the pattern.
| Item | Fact |
|---|---|
| 2026 result date | 24 March 2026 (portal page dated 24-03-2026) |
| 2026 exam dates | 19 February to 4 March 2026 |
| Next exam | Application for the 2027 exam ran 24 September to 21 October 2026, extended to 3 November 2026 |
RBSE 8th result date 2026 and earlier years
| Year | Exam dates | Result date | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 19 Feb to 4 Mar | 24 March 2026 | Same day as Class 5 |
| 2025 | Not confirmed | 26 May 2025 | Class 5 came on 30 May |
| 2024 | 28 Mar to 4 Apr | 30 May 2024 (3:00 PM) | Class 5 on the same day |
| 2023 | Not confirmed | 17 May 2023 | Class 5 on 1 or 2 June (sources differ) |
Sources: Indian Express (2023), Times of India and Hindustan Times (2024), NDTV and Hindustan Times (2025), the portal and Indian Express (2026). We left the exam dates blank where we found no clear report.
How long after the exam does the result come?
| Year | Last exam day | Result | Gap (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 4 March | 24 March | 20 days |
| 2024 | 4 April | 30 May | 56 days |
Two data points are not a trend, but they show that the 2026 timetable was far tighter. The board may have shifted the whole calendar to March, which is also what happened to the Class 10 and 12 results (see RBSE 10th ka result kab aayega).
The 2027 result: what we know
- The portal’s 5th and 8th module says the 2027 exam application opened on 24 September 2026 and closed on 21 October 2026.
- A notice extended the last date to 11:59 PM on 3 November 2026 for students who had not yet applied.
- Application form rejection is shown as running from 26 October to 25 November 2026, and school profile update from 28 October to 28 November 2026.
- The exam time table page loaded without any entries when we opened it on 4 November 2026.
- There is no official result date.
Our expectation for the 2027 result (not an announcement)
The form deadline of early November points to an exam in the new year. If the board keeps the 2026 pattern of a February to early March exam and a result around the end of March, the 2027 result would also come in March or April. If it reverts to the 2024 and 2025 pattern, May is more likely. This is our reading of the pattern. Please do not treat it as a date. We will replace this paragraph when the time table appears.
Supplementary result dates

Where to watch for the real date
- The 5th and 8th exam module: the 5th and 8th exam module. The “Important Message” and “Concurrent Activities” boxes carry notices.
- The school notice board and the class teacher, who receive circulars first.
- Local news from Ajmer, where the results are announced.
- Be careful with sites that give a “confirmed” result date before any notice.
What parents and students can do now
- Confirm that the school has submitted the 2027 exam application; the rejection phase is shown as ongoing until 25 November 2026.
- Ask the school to confirm that the name, date of birth and medium in the 2027 application were entered correctly.
- Do not pay anyone for a “confirmed” result date.
