Quick answer

The Rajasthan BSTC exam of 2015 was held on 19 April 2015 (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM) by MDSU Ajmer. We have not found an official 2015 PDF or answer key that we can confirm, so use memory-based keys only as study aids.

BSTC 2015 exam: what we verified

The BSTC question paper 2015 belongs to the older MDSU series. The Rajasthan BSTC exam for the General and Sanskrit courses was held on Sunday, 19 April 2015, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU), Ajmer conducted it. These facts appear in the contemporary pages we found, including a listing of the 2015 exam by RAS Exam (20 April 2015).

That is the extent of what we could verify for 2015. We did not find, in any source we could open, a reliable figure for how many candidates appeared, how many centres were used, the result date or the topper’s marks. We would rather say this than fill the page with numbers from unnamed sources.

The next MDSU exam, held on 8 May 2016, is better documented: 5,12,382 candidates registered and 4,78,819 appeared at 1,482 centres, and the topper scored 510 out of 600 (Dainik Bhaskar). That year’s 200-question, 600-mark structure, with 50 questions each in Mental Ability, Rajasthan general knowledge and Teaching Aptitude and 20 plus 30 in language, is described in a 2016 exam report and matches the University of Kota’s 2017 notification. It is a sensible reference point for the 2015 structure, but we cannot say that the 2015 paper was identical.

Why we are careful about 2015

The 2015 “solved paper” that shows up first for many searches says openly that it was made from the memory of candidates and not from the official key. Memory-based answers can be wrong. Use them for topic ideas only.

BSTC Question Paper 2015 Download: Where to Look

If you are looking for a BSTC question paper 2015 download, here is the honest picture. We found no official PDF of the 2015 question paper that we could open and confirm. What exists online falls into three groups:

Type What it is How far to trust it
Memory-based solved key Websites such as RAS Exam list questions and answers recalled by candidates the day after the exam Good for topics. Not official, may contain errors.
Scanned booklets Some coaching and result sites post a scan or photo of the paper Useful if the cover shows the 2015 date and series. Cross-check answers.
Official answer key Contemporary blogs said the official key was not yet out when they wrote Not found in the sources we could open.

A safe approach for a 2015 file is: confirm that the cover has the date 19 April 2015, count the questions, and do not rely on the answer key printed in the file. If you cannot confirm the date, treat the file as practice material only. Our BSTC paper 2017 page shows how a better-documented paper is checked.

Rajasthan general knowledge topics in the memory-based 2015 key include agriculture research centres, livestock breeds, Mewar history, spice production by district and industrial towns. These are topic hints from an unofficial list, not a verified analysis of the real paper.

BSTC 2015 exam pattern and marking

We could not open an official 2015 notification, so the table below is the structure that official sources describe for the University of Kota 2017 exam and the 2025 syllabus. It is shown here for practice, not as a verified description of the 2015 paper.

Section Questions Marks per question Total marks
Mental Ability 50 3 150
General Awareness of Rajasthan 50 3 150
Teaching Aptitude 50 3 150
Language: English (compulsory) 20 3 60
Language: Hindi (General) or Sanskrit (Sanskrit course) 30 3 90
Total 200 600

How to solve the BSTC 2015 paper as a timed mock

A paper only helps if you solve it under exam conditions. Treat the 2015 paper like the real exam: 200 questions, 3 hours, one sitting, an OMR-style answer grid and no phone.

  1. Set up the roomStart at the same clock time as the real exam (2:00 PM) if you can, so your body gets used to the slot. Keep a blue or black ballpoint pen, a watch and a printed copy of the paper. Do not open the answer key.
  2. Choose your orderMany candidates start with the language and Teaching Aptitude sections because they are faster, then take Mental Ability and Rajasthan awareness. Try two orders in two mocks and keep the one that scores more.
  3. Mark as you goFill the answer grid after each section, not at the end, to avoid running out of time. Remember that there is no negative marking in the cycles we checked, so never leave a blank.
  4. Log your timeWrite down the minutes you took for each section. Your target is about 54 seconds per question on average.
  5. Score with the official keyUse the official answer key where one is available. Count each section separately and note the weakest one.
Part Questions Suggested time
Mental Ability 50 40 min
Rajasthan awareness 50 25 min
Teaching Aptitude 50 40 min
English 20 20 min
Hindi or Sanskrit 30 25 min
OMR check and review — 30 min

The time plan is our suggestion for practice. It adds up to 180 minutes. Change it after your first mock if one section needs more time.

Section-wise approach for the 2015 paper

We could not verify the exact 2015 section structure. Practise each section using the syllabus topics from the official 2025 syllabus and test yourself on the 2017 paper, which is better documented.

Mental Ability (50 Q, 150 marks)

Reasoning, analogy, discrimination, relationship, analysis and logical thinking. Practise the series and analogy types first because they are fastest.

Rajasthan awareness (50 Q, 150 marks)

Historical, political, art-culture-literature, economic, geographical, folk-life, social and tourism aspects of Rajasthan. Make one-page revision sheets for forts, fairs, painting schools, rivers and districts.

Teaching Aptitude (50 Q, 150 marks)

Teaching-learning, leadership quality, creativity, continuous and comprehensive evaluation, communication skills, professional attitude and social sensitivity. Read all four options. The best answer is usually the most child-centred, patient and practical.

English (20 Q, 60 marks)

Comprehension, spotting errors, narration, prepositions, articles, connectives, sentence correction, kinds of sentences, sentence completion, tenses, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitution and spelling errors.

Hindi or Sanskrit (30 Q, 90 marks)

Grammar and usage, word knowledge and comprehension in the language of your course (Hindi for General, Sanskrit for Sanskrit). These are among the quickest marks if you revise grammar rules.

Score yourself on the BSTC 2015 paper

Each question in the pattern used in 2016 and 2017 is worth 3 marks and wrong answers do not lose marks, so your score is simply 3 times the number of correct answers. This table converts correct answers into marks on the 600-mark scale.

Correct answers Marks out of 600 What it means
100 300 50% (General qualifying percentage reported in 2019 and 2026)
90 270 45% (qualifying percentage for reserved categories)
120 360 60%
150 450 75%
170 510 85%, the topper’s score in 2016 (510 marks)
171 513 85.5%, the General topper’s score in 2017 (513 marks)

Qualifying is not the same as getting a seat. Seats are allotted by merit rank in counselling, so compare your score with the toppers and with the number of seats and candidates that year, not with the qualifying mark alone.

Mistakes to avoid when practising with the 2015 paper

  • Reading only the answer key. You learn the topic only when you understand why the other options are wrong.
  • Solving untimed. A paper solved at leisure hides the real problem, which is speed.
  • Trusting memory-based keys. Always compare with the official answer key when it exists.
  • Ignoring Teaching Aptitude. It carries 150 marks, as much as Mental Ability.
  • Skipping Rajasthan topics. Rajasthan awareness is a full 150-mark section and rewards steady revision.
  • Not keeping a mistake log. Without it, you repeat the same errors in the next mock.
