BSTC 2024 exam: what we verified
The BSTC paper 2024 was written on Sunday, 30 June 2024 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at 1,917 centres. This was a new schedule: entry through the main gate was allowed only between 11 AM and 12 noon (Hindustan Times). The Quint reports that Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota conducted the exam, the first year in our series for VMOU. About 6.24 lakh candidates registered and about 5.95 lakh appeared.
The Hindustan Times exam-day article lists the rules in detail: carry the admit card, a blue or black transparent ballpoint pen, a recent coloured passport photograph and a valid photo ID. Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, watches, calculators and log tables are prohibited, and the centre does not keep phones or belongings. After the exam, candidates could take away the question paper and the carbon copy of the OMR sheet. That is why this paper circulates quickly after the exam.
In the first week of July 2024, VMOU released a provisional answer key and accepted objections. The final key was released before the result on Wednesday, 17 July 2024, 17 days after the exam (The Quint). The result link was on result.predeledraj2024.in with the login being roll number and date of birth. A news report said that the education minister, Madan Dilawar, released the result.
Where to get the BSTC 2024 paper PDF and answer key
For the 2024 paper, the best source is the VMOU answer key, since VMOU was the conducting body. The VMOU website is VMOU Kota (official site). The 2024 portal predeledraj2024.in is named in reports and did not allow automated access when we checked, so we do not link to it.
If you were a candidate, your own carbon copy of the OMR sheet and the question paper are the best record. Compare it with the final key on the VMOU site, not with a coaching key alone.

Candidates per centre: how 2024 compares

The 2024 exam began at 12:30 PM, earlier than the 2:00 PM start in most of the earlier years, and entry was allowed between 11 AM and 12 noon. If you practise at home, set your mock at the same time as your exam slot so that your energy matches.
What we could not verify for 2024
We did not find verified topper marks, a category-wise cut-off or an official count of seats for the 2024 cycle in the sources we could open, so this page does not give them. A news report on the result said that a merit list was released with the result, but it did not list the cut-off numbers. Use your official scorecard on the result portal and compare it with the merit list for your category. Score yourself on the BSTC 2024 paper
Each question in the 2024 pattern is worth 3 marks and wrong answers do not lose marks, so your score is simply 3 times the number of correct answers. This table converts correct answers into marks on the 600-mark scale.

Qualifying is not the same as getting a seat. Seats are allotted by merit rank in counselling, so compare your score with the toppers and with the number of seats and candidates that year, not with the qualifying mark alone.
Mistakes to avoid when practising with the 2024 paper
- Reading only the answer key. You learn the topic only when you understand why the other options are wrong.
- Solving untimed. A paper solved at leisure hides the real problem, which is speed.
- Trusting memory-based keys. Always compare with the official answer key when it exists.
- Ignoring Teaching Aptitude. It carries 150 marks, as much as Mental Ability.
- Skipping Rajasthan topics. Rajasthan awareness is a full 150-mark section and rewards steady revision.
- Not keeping a mistake log. Without it, you repeat the same errors in the next mock.
