RBSE Revaluation aur Scrutiny 2026 Process

RBSE revaluation and scrutiny 2026 · Process, fee and dates

The RBSE revaluation form is called scrutiny in the board’s own rules. It checks the total of your marks, missing marks and inside or outside mark differences, and gives you a scanned copy. It does not re-mark your answers. In 2026 the fee was Rs 400 per subject, the window was 7 days plus 3 late days, and Class 10 students got a new question-level re-check in English, Science and Maths.

What scrutiny is, and what it is not

Case Under scrutiny?
A difference in the total of marks Checked
A difference between the inside and outside marks (the cage difference) Checked
An addition error Checked
A question left without marks Checked
An answer marked too low by the examiner Not re-marked: re-examination is not part of scrutiny (Rule 13(5), Chapter 16, Regulations 1957)

Many people say “revaluation” or “copy recheck”. In Rajasthan the formal term is scrutiny. The idea of fully re-marking an answer is not part of it. For what the marking scheme looks like, see RBSE checking aur marking.

Dates and fees for 2026

Class Result Last date without late fee Last date with late fee
Class 10 and Praveshika 24 March 31 March 3 April
Class 12 and Varishtha Upadhyay 31 March 7 April 10 April
Fee Amount
Scrutiny fee Rs 400 per subject
Late fee Rs 800 per subject
Objection fee Rs 100 per subject (Times of India)
Re-check of a question (Class 10) Rs 100 per question

The “objection” and “re-examination” labels differ by outlet, so the exact fee rule for the Class 10 re-check should be read on the board site. We report both figures and do not try to merge them.

The new Class 10 question-level re-check

For 2026, the Times of India and Rajasthan government news reported that after scrutiny a Class 10 student can ask for a re-check of specific questions in English, Science and Maths. The student must file the objection online within 5 days of getting the scanned copy, with the question number and page number. The board’s decision is final. The Times of India adds that the board advised students not to apply just to try to raise marks, since changes happen only in a small number of cases. For Class 12, we found no such option.

Check before you pay

The circular says re-examination is not part of scrutiny, and the news reports describe a re-check on questions. We could not read the board’s rule for the re-check itself, so confirm the exact rule on the board site.

The scanned answer sheet

After the scrutiny application is processed, the board provides the scanned copy, and a password is sent by SMS. The Times of India reports that the copy stays online for a limited time and that the check result comes within 5 days of the upload. Use your own mobile number in the form, because it is used for the password and updates. Download and save the copy the same day.

Rules to know

  • Scrutiny can be applied for only once.
  • Marks may increase or decrease.
  • The fee is not refunded in any case.
  • A valid ID such as Aadhaar or a voter ID must be uploaded.
  • The mobile number and email must be correct.
  • Offline applications were not accepted.
  • The result after the Class 10 re-check is final.

Should you apply?

Situation Advice
The total of subject marks does not match the sum Yes: scrutiny checks totals
A question looks unmarked on the answer sheet Yes, once you have the copy
You are sure of an answer but marked low Scrutiny will not re-mark. Class 10: consider the question re-check if in English, Science or Maths
You failed one or two subjects Plan for the supplementary exam too; see RBSE supplementary exam 2026
You only want a higher score Marks can go down; the board advises against applying just for that

After the result: other routes

If the problem is a wrong name or date of birth, scrutiny is not the route. See RBSE marksheet download and correction. If you want to find the result in the first place, see RBSE result kaise check kare. For the dates of the next steps in the year, see RBSE result kab aayega 2026.

Outcome data: what we could not find

We looked for the number of scrutiny applications and how many changed marks in 2026 or earlier, and found none. We also found no official statement of how many answer sheets changed after the Class 10 re-check. We therefore cannot say how often marks change. The only qualitative statement is the board’s advice, as reported by the Times of India, that changes happen in a small number of cases.

RBSE scrutiny FAQs

Is there revaluation in RBSE?

Not in the sense of re-marking the whole answer. The board offers scrutiny, which checks totals and missing marks, plus a scanned copy of the answer sheet. In 2026 Class 10 students were also offered a re-check of specific questions in English, Science and Maths.

How to apply for RBSE scrutiny 2026?

Online on the board website under SCRUTINY-2026, or through an e-Mitra centre, within 7 days of the result (3 more days with a late fee). Upload a valid ID. Offline forms were not accepted (Times of India).

RBSE copy recheck fee kitni hai?

Rs 400 per subject, Rs 800 with the late fee. Reported figures also list Rs 100 per subject as an objection fee and Rs 100 per question for the Class 10 re-check. Fees are not refunded.

Can marks decrease after RBSE scrutiny?

Yes. The rules say marks may increase or decrease, scrutiny can be sought only once and the fee is not refunded.

What is the last date for scrutiny 2026?

Class 10 and Praveshika: 31 March, or 3 April with the late fee. Class 12 and Varishtha Upadhyay: 7 April, or 10 April with the late fee (board circular as reported).

How do I get the scanned copy of my answer sheet?
