How BSTC counselling works: step by step

  1. Collect your detailsKeep the application number, roll number, counselling ID, mother’s name and date of birth ready.
  2. Correct your form if neededA correction window of ₹200 ran 11 to 16 June 2026 (e-Rajasthan mirror).
  3. Register and pay the feeLog in to the counselling form and pay the ₹3,000 registration fee online.
  4. Fill and lock your choicesAdd colleges or whole districts in the order you really prefer, then lock them.
  5. Check your allotmentLog in on the list date and download the allotment letter.

  7. Report at the collegeGo in person with originals and two self-attested photocopy sets, then download the provisional admission slip.

The e-Rajasthan mirror also says that if you applied for both General and Sanskrit, you get two counselling IDs, and you can join only one institute. The other ID is then cancelled.

Refunds go only to the candidate’s own bank account, and the refund rows come from the e-Rajasthan mirror, which is not official. Check the official refund notice before you rely on an amount.

Pay only on the official portal

Payments are made on predeledraj2026.com. Do not pay an agent for “seat guarantee”. The Coordinator’s office helpline printed in the official 2026 notification is 6375584979 (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) and the email is [email protected].

Documents for BSTC counselling

  • Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets.
  • Handwritten self-declaration in the format given on the portal.
  • A new passport-size photo.
  • Caste certificate, if it applies to you.
  • Mool niwas (domicile) certificate.
  • Sub-category certificate for widow, divorced, disability, defence or ex-serviceman, if it applies.
  • Allotment letter, fee receipts, and your printed application form with attested copies.

Carry originals and two self-attested photocopy sets to the college (CareerPower). Admission stays provisional until the college verifies your originals (e-Rajasthan mirror).

Choice filling: how to avoid losing a seat

The system tries your choices from the top. These tips are our advice and also reflect the rules reported by the portal mirror.

  • Add many colleges. A short list can leave you with no seat.
  • You can add a whole district or All Rajasthan. Every institute in that district is then included.
  • Order your list by real preference, because higher choices are tried first.
  • Lock only when sure: after locking you cannot edit, and the system locks it for you on the last date.
  • Look up codes and seats in our BSTC college list Rajasthan before you fill.

Upward movement

Upward movement is for candidates who already hold a seat and want a college higher in their list. In 2026 applications ran 3 to 4 July and the revised list was out on 7 July. Reporting at the new college was 7 to 9 July. If you move up, your earlier seat is cancelled; if not, your earlier seat stays (e-Rajasthan mirror).

Jagran Josh says you must pay the ₹13,555 fee and report at the first-round college to be eligible. The fee was charged once per roll number (e-Rajasthan mirror).

Later rounds: who could take part

Round Who and how
Second counselling (10 to 13 July) Candidates with no seat after the first round, candidates allotted but not admitted, and candidates who had not applied before. Those who paid ₹3,000 earlier did not pay again
Third allotment (4 August) No new application or choice-filling window was set; the vacant seats were allotted from the existing choices
Special phase (7 September) Last round for the seats still vacant; fee and reporting 7 to 16 September

These round rules come from the e-Rajasthan mirror. It is not official, so check the VMOU notices if a rule matters for your case.

Mistakes that cost candidates a seat

  • Not reporting at the college by the last date. The mirror says the admission is then cancelled.
  • Uploading unclear or wrong documents. Unclear uploads are rejected and must be uploaded again.
  • Giving a bank account that is not in your own name, which blocks a refund.
  • Locking a short choice list.
  • Joining two colleges when you have two counselling IDs. Report at only one.
  • Trusting a message or agent instead of the official portal.
