Who conduct BSTC exam? In 2026 it was Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota, named as the nodal agency by the Rajasthan government on 25 November 2025. Who conduct BSTC exam in Rajasthan: the 2026 answer
The VMOU general directions for 2026 begin with the Rajasthan government’s letter dated 25 November 2025, which names VMOU the nodal agency for the Pre D.El.Ed (General and Sanskrit) entrance exam 2026. The document is issued by the Office of the Coordinator, Pre D.El.Ed 2026, signed by Prof. B.L. Verma, Chief Coordinator and Vice-Chancellor, and Dr. Alok Chauhan, Coordinator. VMOU also coordinated the PTET exam in 2026, through a separate coordinator’s office. The form, exam, result and counselling all run through that office.
The same notification says “Formerly known as B.S.T.C.” under the title, so you are looking at the right exam.

For 2026, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota conducted the Pre D.El.Ed (BSTC) exam as the nodal agency named by the Rajasthan government. It also did so in 2024 and 2025. The body has changed over the years.
Who conducts the BSTC exam in Rajasthan?
The Rajasthan government decides and notifies the nodal agency each cycle. The 2026 general directions cite a government letter dated 25 November 2025 that made VMOU the nodal agency. The university runs the form, the exam, the result and the counselling.
Who is the BSTC conducting body?

Is NCTE the conducting body of BSTC?
No. NCTE sets the norms for teacher education. The 2026 notification says the qualification for D.El.Ed must meet NCTE norms, but the exam is run by the nodal agency.
Is Rajasthan government the same as the conducting body?
The government names and authorises the agency, sets the reservation rules and approves the seats. The university does the work of the exam and counselling.
Why does the BSTC conducting body change?
We did not find an official reason. The notifications we read only name the body for that year, so we do not give a reason.
Which is the official BSTC website?
For 2026 it is predeledraj2026.com; the VMOU page for the exam is on vmou.ac.in. Each cycle has its own site, and older sites may stop working.
Can colleges give BSTC admission on their own?
